Service plans

Howard Wright offers three types of maintenance plans:

1. Comprehensive Maintenance
2. Planned Preventative Maintenance
3. Reactive Maintenance

Comprehensive Maintenance

Howard Wright’s premier plan covers a product’s annual inspection and electrical safety check and all call-out servicing costs for fair wear and tear maintenance. This plan is suited to customers who do not wish to undertake any product servicing in-house and prefer to contract this out for the life of the product.

Planned Preventative Maintenance

Howard Wright’s mid-level plan covers a product’s annual inspection and an electrical safety check. This plan is suited to customers who do not wish to undertake the product’s annual inspection in-house. Call-out servicing may be undertaken in-house or contracted out under a Reactive Maintenance plan.

Reactive Maintenance

Howard Wright’s “pay as you go” plan covers call-out maintenance requested by the customer on a job by job basis.

Warranty

Howard Wright, at its sole discretion, warrants that it will repair or replace defective components or faulty workmanship for a period of two years from the date of manufacture of the product.

No warranty claim will be accepted where:

• Written notice has not been given to Howard Wright within four weeks of the defect or faulty workmanship being first noticed.
• Damage is caused by negligence, accident or deliberate abuse, product modification, incorrect use, incorrect storage or maintenance and continued use of the part after the defect or faulty workmanship is first noticed.
• There is inconsistent history of annual inspections. Howard Wright reserves the right to substitute material of equal or better quality on the particular items being repaired or replaced if identical material is not available at the time of repair or replacement.
• There will be no extensions to the original warranty period for any product that has been repaired or replaced.

Exceptions:

Batteries are excluded from the warranty as their life is almost entirely dependent on the operator ensuring continual charging. For products purchased from either a Howard Wright Dealer or Distributor please refer to their warranty terms and conditions.

Two warranty extension options are available:

• One year extension: Increases the warranty to three years
• Three year extension: Increases the warranty to five years

Technical service training

Howard Wright offers a one day technical service training course per product that covers the annual inspection, service and repair of the product concerned.

This training is suited to customers who wish to undertake product servicing in-house and service contractors providing maintenance services to healthcare organizations.

The training is undertaken at Howard Wright’s manufacturing facility and is limited to four trainees per course. On-site training at a customer’s facility is also available upon request.
